Years later, not a whole lot has changed. I continue to obsess over new hues daily, paint chips are forever scattered across my crafting space, and let's be honest - I still want to be that person who names the swatches. This past week, I documented each weekday in paint chips.

This may become an obsession, if it wasn't one already. Which of the colour schemes is your favourite?

ReplyDeletegoodnight moon or dry patch are def. my favs. My dad is a builder so he has this huge book of paint chips and I love going through and reading all the dreamy names. ;)

ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun idea. I'd love to try it out in my journal sometime.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I've always wanted to name the paint colors. I've made bookmarks out of paint chips, and stored so many ideas of inspiration in my head...I'm definitely going to try this out :)

Wow, love these! Cool ideas!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! My favorite is "collecting pinecones". You girls at Fernweh are so creative! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try this! You know what's funny? When my parents went shopping last week I asked them to get me paint chips for crafting purposes and they didn't because they didn't want to pick them up when the weren't going to buy paint! I'll have to pick them up on my own :)

ReplyDeleteyes, please.
I used to collect paint chips, mostly for the array of pretty colours, but i always loved some of the imaginative names.
ReplyDeleteAnd your idea of documenting your days in paint chips is quite brilliant and a joy to look at.
Genius. I love it. :) I never thought about the person who names the paint chips before.
ReplyDeletelovely.
I love the one called Goodnight Moon...it's so beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa. I seriously LOVE this. Like, really really. Colors make me so happy!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a genius idea! I love the color swatches for Goodnight.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this thing on Tumblr lately. People write poems or a couple lines on a color swatch (or chip) and post it to Tumblr or wherever. I thought that it was a cute idea.
I have always had a penchant for paint chips, too. :) I rob the racks whenever I go someplace with them. :) this is such a cool idea--love the "goodnight moon" one.
