Sometimes I like to slip away and take a walk. To remind myself of who I am and what I want to be. It's good to take time to clear your head and to be still, listening only to the sound of the wind as it rushes through trees, and smelling the heady scent of earth, rich with spring. Wood walks are my favorite. I feel like Anne when she said..."I couldn't live where there were no trees--something vital in me would starve." I grew up with a wood in my backyards, and early morning walks were my favorite. While it's not a forest by definition, taking a few minutes to meander among the trees, over dirt trails, is still the best.
