bags4darfur

It seems we've acquired quite the collection of these beauties throughout the past few years. Handmade bags. Carefully and beautifully created by Joyce -- the brains behind Bags4Darfur.

Each bag is sewn entirely up of vintage and recycled fabrics, with the proceeds providing basic necessities such as food and shelter to the people in Darfur, Sudan. Win-win? I think yes.

"Now skirts, jeans, curtains, quilts, tea towels, kitchen aprons, flour sacks, couches, belts, neckties, bedspreads, and tablecloths are being casually slung over shoulders from across the prairies, over the mountains, and over oceans. The joy and connectedness spreads right around the world." --Joyce

Joyce updates her blog with new bags regularly, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for 'that perfect one'.
