where I might have been

I wonder sometimes, if I had never discovered blogging, where would I be now? Blogging lead the way for writing which turned into designing which ended in photography and culminated in a love of art and photos and words. But if I had never stumbled upon blogging, had never picked up a camera because of another blogger's post, if I had never had that flame ignite a spark of curiosity, where would I be? I am learning to love and embrace who I am in Christ, and am confident and crazy excited about the direction I'm going. Yet sometimes I wonder if things had been different, where would I be now? It makes me so grateful for this whole blogging journey that I've been on, and it reminds me of how even though the past few years have been filled with good things and hard things, they've led me to where I am now. And I wouldn't trade that for the world.

question:

What is the biggest passion blogging has shown you?

Much love.
Hannah

  1. Blogging has shown me how passionate I am about connecting with people from all over the world through Christ. I can't imagine I could ever love it if it weren't for blogging.

  2. For me, I think blogging has just helped me build on the talents and interests I already had (writing and creating.) But I know that if I didn't blog, I wouldn't have developed an interest in graphic design and I probably wouldn't do much photography. So I'm very glad for blogging. I think it's been good for me =)

  3. Blogging has helped me discover that I have a passion for words. My blog has given me an outlet for my writing and pointless rambles, and given me a place to develop my writing style.

Now I'm working on a few short stories, and even brainstorming for a novel. Who would have ever thought?

  4. Blogging has done so much for me. The main things are 1. I learned to write much better through trial and error, 2. got me interested in computers and website design and 3. It taught me to love writing and now I desperately miss it when I don't blog.

  5. Blogging has helped to me discover how wonderful the little things in life can be, how every day is an adventure, how a warm cup of coffee can create such a profound sense of joy. Blogging has also helped grow more confident in who I am, because every day I am working towards a more perfect form of self expression.

My current passion is photography, which I would have never discovered without blogging. Before I started a blog, photography was something big and scary, something for other people, people who had backgrounds in graphic design and Photoshop, etc. and definitely not something for me! Now I love it and take pictures every single day. I hope that never changes! : )

  6. Blogging has shown me that I have a passion for helping others. I never realized how tightly knit this community is -- we're all here for each other, to listen and do what we can.

  8. I am also able to be encouraged and inspired with/for my photography by other dear bloggers! I'm also learning a little web design.

  9. this is so, so true. I've wondered this as well, because I would not have been inspired to improve my photography like I have if I had never blogged. such a cool thing God has stuck in our lives, no?

  11. I've felt the same way several times, so it's nice to see someone else does too. (: I think God has definitely given this creative outlet called blogging to me to show me who I am, what I'm good at, and what I want to do with the rest of my life, as well as the value of a friendship and personal worth. It's not easy dealing with comparison and authenticity and being popular everyday, but it's an amazing learning experience that has taught me so much and I could not and would not trade it for the world. Blogging will always be important to me, mainly because without it, like you, I wouldn't have known my love for photos, words, design, meeting new people, etc. Anywho, thanks for sharing Hannah! <3

  12. I feel like every teen girl and her BFF have "discovered" photography these days, but honestly if I hadn't started a blog, I probably wouldn't have picked up a camera much. Having a blog created a thirst in me to not only document life, but to document it in a lovely way, to find beauty in all things, and to enjoy life and smile. :)

  13. Prior to creating my blog, I never really wrote anything. But because of it, writing has become a great passion of mine. It has also shown me a growing passion for photography and communicating with other people.

  14. Honestly, photography. Most bloggers probably say the same thing -- but it truly is. Actually, your blog is what inspired me to start taking photos in the first place.

  15. Photography. I was only slightly interested in it before I started blogging- now I am head over heels in with it.
